For the Love
of Photography

Mat fell in love with photography 20 years ago while attending university for his design degree. After learning to process and develop his own film in photography class, he was hooked.

Fast forward about 10 years later, and after having his first child, he invested in his first digital pro camera. He wanted to capture sweet moments and stories of his family. In 2011, he submitted a few photographs to Smithsonian Magazine’s photo contest, and twice won “Editor’s Choice.” That is when he started taking photography more seriously, and slowly but surely unveiled it professionally in companion to his creative agency.

Now, around another decade later, Mat dives into photo projects any chance he gets — simply because he loves to tell stories from what he sees and experiences. He primarily focuses on creative styles, fashion, travel/adventures, editorial, branding, and boudoir. His style is almost surreal to where he makes his environments and subjects pop with subtle color saturation and dream like lighting. He enjoys capturing the mood and emotion of what is going on in the frame.
